Funding

Bord Bia manages and oversees implementation of the Food Dudes Healthy Eating Programme in Ireland.

The national roll-out of the programme is co-financed by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the European Union  through the EU School Fruit and Vegetables Scheme.

The Food Dudes programme is also fully supported by the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Health, under the Healthy Ireland Framework..

The following service providers have been contracted by Bord Bia to assist in the implementation of the Food Dudes Programme:

  • Real Nation - manages the programme in schools including teacher training
  • Glanmore Foods - sources, prepares and distributes the fruit and vegetables to participating schools
  • MACE - sources and provides eco friendly rewards
